Delhi: The Home of Our Silk Crepe Shirts
I spent two days in Delhi, where I source the stunning silk crepe saris that we transform into our signature silk shirts. Each sari is 6 meters long, meaning we can only craft two shirts per print - making them incredibly rare and unique. How cool is that?
What makes these shirts truly special is the gorgeous border detailing on the saris. We incorporate these intricate borders into the cuffs, ruffles, front placket, and hem - a design element that gives our shirts that extra wow factor. If I bought silk by the roll, it wouldn’t have this incredible detail, which is why sourcing saris individually is so important to us.
Our silk shirts are free-size, best suited for sizes 10 - 16, and are available in-store now! While I usually gravitate towards bright, bold colours, this time I’ve also selected darker, more natural browns-perfect for winter. These pieces feel incredibly sophisticated and are a slight departure from my usual aesthetic, but I love them.
While in Delhi, I also met with our linen supplier- the artisans who craft our dresses, pants, and silk shirts with meticulous attention to detail. They thoughtfully place the sari borders to enhance the overall design. All our linen from this range is handwoven, 100% yarn-dyed, and finished with French seams. We have two linen drops arriving soon - one in early June and another in August.
Jaipur: A Textile & Culinary Paradise
Next, I spent seven days in Jaipur, diving into the world of textiles and indulging in some incredible new dining spots.
If you’re visiting Jaipur, here are two new restaurant recommendations:
• Pavo Kitchen & Bar - I ordered the same marinated chicken dish every time because it was that good! Marinated in cashew cream and mint spices, it’s an absolute must-try. Their cocktails? Equally impressive- you must try their dirty martini!
• 1932 Trevi - A delicious Italian restaurant near the famous Bar Palladio. If you’re craving authentic Italian flavours in Jaipur, this is the place to go.
Of course, Jaipur is a textile lover’s dream. I was busy getting everything made - from our beloved kimonos and PJs to breezy summer cotton dresses. So much goodness is on its way!
Some styles will start arriving in-store in just a few weeks - if you’re heading overseas, pop in around early May to check out the latest arrivals. But our two main drops will be landing in June and August - so stay tuned!
This trip was full of inspiration, craftsmanship, and stunning new pieces for our collection. Can’t wait for you to see it all in person & online soon!
